Butterfly watching can be a captivating tourist attraction as it’s dazzling array of colors and intricate patterns is truly appealing. The butterflies are sighted at different places ranging from 100m to 2800 m. Rare species such as Yellow Gorgon, Athyma punctuta, Northern Jungle Queen , Moore Cupid are recorded at Tingtibi. Pantang, Panbang, Tama, Buli, Digala and Tali.The best season starts from Mid-March to October end. The district has recorded over 270 species of butterfly and can be a good source of research for butterfly enthusiast.
