Bermo Botanical Park named after the local female deity Bermo, was established by Zhemgang Forest Division in 2014 with financial support from Mangdechu Hydroelectric project. The park primarily aimed at preserving orchids and showcases a diverse range of flora and fauna. It provides educational and recreational opportunities. Featuring curated gardens and walking trails, conservation efforts and future plans to establish a Biodiversity Information Center will highlight the importance of biodiversity in the district. The park is frequented by visitors and picnickers on holidays and weekends, connecting people with nature. A watch tower in the park, overlooking the Mangdechhu river, provides a ideal spot for bird watching and faces the beautifully built eco-lodge cabins at Berti.
