Details
For a wildlife enthusiast, the tranquil wilderness of Zhemgang offers a palpable sense of anticipation and adventure. Given its rich biodiversity, the district has recorded 39 mammalian species, amongst which the Golden Langur that is endemic to Bhutan and Assam State of India is largely found in the entire Dzongkhag. The Royal Bengal tiger, Gaur, • Asian elephant, • greater one-horned rhinoceros, • clouded leopard, • himalayan black bears, and some other rare animals seen there.
