Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park (JSWNP) in Bhutan, the country’s third largest protected area at 1730 square kilometers, is centrally located with diverse altitudinal zones ranging from sub-tropical forests to alpine meadows. It connects to neighboring national parks; Royal Manas National Park in the south, Jigme Dorji National Park and Wangchuck Centennial National Park to the north and Phrumsengla National Park to the north east by biological corridors which facilitates wildlife movement. JSWNP boasts rich biodiversity with 39 mammal species, 270 bird species, 139 butterfly species, and 16 fish species, alongside diverse herpetofauna, fungi, orchids, and medicinal plants. Administratively, the park is divided into four ranges, including an administrative center in Tingtibi, Zhemgang district, ensuring effective management and conservation efforts.
